It is Alive!

So, I noticed that you guys have your own forum and decided to post here. I have recently departed the sunken ship that was the mighty Steiner and have spoken with Plebus as an applicant. Since I am not able to actually join at the moment(due to being under protection for 29 more hours) I decided to breathe a bit of life into this area of your forums with a little introduction.

I am known as TaranSF on irc or Tyler if you prefer. Currently my empire is known as Taran's Dogs of War, but I will be sure to make it more appropriate when I think of a clever or thematic enough name. I am a fairly veteran tabletop war gamer, but only recently got into Battletech. I have always loved the genre, although I did not have the opportunity to enjoy it until now. I grew up on Warhammer 40k, Fantasy and then Warmachine\Hordes. I also enjoy tactical simulations like Rome: Total War and Total War: Shogun 2.

I have learned a lot in the struggle against the annoying tactics of Clan Wolf, but still struggle with the magnitude of different mechs. For Invasion my limit of mech control is around 12 and it is not perfect at that point. I hope I will be able to learn more even if it isn't constant warfare that I had to deal with in my previous experience. I am bringing with me an 8 sector empire along with some mechs\parts. I may have more, but we will see what comes.

Just curious though, when you were booted from Steiner, were you put in protection?

I don't think it's an issue, I am thinking Plebus was curious if booting you PUT you into protection.

If I understand your post correctly, you were already in protection at the time you got the boot, so we are just waiting for that counter to expire.

Aye, I was waiting for it to expire, but the admins saw fit to boot me out of protection. Application sent!
